I love photographing engagement shoots or as they can also be commonly known, pre-wedding sessions. As a Northamptonshire Engagement Photographer, I really like to get to know my couples. This is a perfect opportunity to me to get to know the couple in such a relaxed way and photograph them without the pressure a wedding day can bring. I discuss with you both different ideas for locations for your engagement photos.
COUPLE POSES FOR ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS
When I meet couples, I understand that some are not altogether comfortable with being in front of the camera. I totally understand and empathise, so I make it one of my top priorities to ensure these engagement photography sessions are relaxed, natural and fun. When I am looking through my lens, I want to see connections between each other that will be portrayed in the images, so I guide you on how to stand and what poses work best for you.
There is a few things I take into account when choosing a location for engagement photos.
Would of the first things is time of the year. This will affect the time and what to wear for the photosession. Do we choose a location that has sentimental connection for a couple?
Sometimes, it great to use the wedding venue for the couple which tends to have to take place in the week. Another location where I do engagement sessions is at Evenley Woods. I have photographed weddings, families and many engagement couples here. Its seasonal changes in the woods offers such a beautiful backdrop.
