The Cart Shed, Ceremony Room

The Great Barn is proudly part of The Venue Group, alongside the nearby Plum Park. With dedicated in-house caterers and an experienced team, every detail of your day is expertly handled to ensure your wedding is nothing short of extraordinary.

The venue has a dedicated ceremony room named 'The Cart Shed' which has atmospheric lighting but one side filled with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the open countryside.

The entrance to the Dressing Room is at the front of the building. The light in there is fantastic and is perfect for your Hair and MakeUp and your final preparations.

It has large mirrors, dedicated dressing tables and a chaise lounge to relax. It can hold ten people, which is ideal for the bride and her bridesmaids in getting ready for the wedding day.

This is where all the excitment begins at the start of the day. A dedicated space for you to get ready with your bridal team to relax, before the ceremony and when all your details and plans come together.

The Great Barn offers a dedicated dining room, perfect for hosting your wedding breakfast in style.

The Lakes at The Great Barn are a perfect place for Bride and Groom Wedding Photos. There is a bridge over each lake, and at the end of the wedding day at golden hour, the light that comes across the horizon can help create magical wedding photos.

After the wedding breakfast, I love taking couples to the lake for a few beautiful shots, depending on the time of year. It’s just a short drive from the main venue, and I make sure it’s quick so you can return to your guests and keep the celebrations going.

Due to the position of The Great Barn in the countryside, if there a chance of a sunset there are so many spots that I know where the sun falls throughout the year.

Whenever I am with my camera, I am always talking about light but I especially adore a sunset.I will know before your big day, the time of the sunset and if there one, I will be ready!

After the meal, the evening kicks off with key moments like the cake cutting and your first dance—a special moment for you both to soak it all in. Then it’s time to turn up the energy, hit the dance floor, and let the party begin. From emotional first steps to all-out celebrations, I’ll be there to capture the atmosphere, the laughter, and every unforgettable move as the night unfolds.
